This bust type is characterised by low-sitting nipples, and the bust is typically long and rests on the stomach. We recommend a full cover bra, which beautifully encloses the bust and provides support.
Find the right bra type for your bust shape
Finding the perfect bra is no easy task. Every bust is different, and especially for plus-size women, the need for support, comfortable straps, and shaping is key. At Zizzi, we do everything we can to create the best bras for plus-size women – and here, we’ve created a guide to help you choose the right one. We’ve matched bust types with bras so you can get the best possible support for your needs.
Bell-shaped breasts are characterised by having more fullness at the bottom and nipples that point outwards from the bust. The upper part of the bust has little or no fullness. This bust type needs support for the weight at the bottom. We recommend a moulded bra, padded bra, or full cover bra, all of which provide lift and shape to the bust.
This bust type is characterised by space between the breasts, with more fullness on the outer sides than towards the centre. You might prefer a moulded bra or padded bra with an underwire that encloses the bust and provides lift and support.
Breasts are rarely completely symmetrical in size and shape. If your breasts are relatively different, you might benefit from our moulded bra or padded bra. Both enclose the bust, provide good support, and minimise the difference between the breasts.
Round breasts have even fullness at the top and bottom. This bust type can benefit from good support and will suit most bra types. A full cover bra will provide support and beautifully enclose the bust.
If your breasts point outwards to each side, you have this bust type. You’ll likely want a bra that provides support and pulls the breasts slightly inwards towards the centre. All our bra types provide support for this bust type, and a padded bra is a particularly good all-round choice.
This bust type has weight and width at the bottom, and the nipple sits relatively low. The teardrop shape differs from the bell shape in that the breasts have more fullness at the top. We recommend a full cover bra for lift and support, but a balconette bra will also enhance the bust’s shape.
How to measure yourself

How to measure yourself 1. Measure around the bust 2. Measure under the bust
All you need to find your measurements is a tape measure and a well-fitting bra. Make sure to choose an unpadded bra that is secure but not tight. Once you have entered your measurements, click on "Calculate your size" and you’ll be able to see what bra size we recommend you buy from Zizzi.
Measure with your tape measure around the fullest part of your bust. The tape should be horizontal and close to your body, but not tight.
Measure with your tape measure around the narrowest point just below the bust. The tape measure should be horizontal and close to your body, but not tight.
Size table
Breasts are different. This means that although we have recommended a size based on your two measurements, the shape of your breasts may influence whether you should adjust the size of the cup slightly. If your breasts are more pointed and narrower, you may want to consider a larger cup and a smaller band size. If your breasts are flatter and wider, we recommend choosing a smaller cup and perhaps a larger band size. You can click around the size chart here to see which measurements fit which sizes.

This guide is based on underwired bras. They all ensure that the bust receives support and lift. If you’re looking for a soft bra, for example to sleep in, we have a wide selection. These will function more as a covering layer than as support. We recommend them for smaller busts or situations where you don’t need support.
Remember, you can always get advice in your local Zizzi store, where our staff are ready to measure you and guide you in choosing the right bra. We currently don’t carry underwear in store - but our skilled staff can provide guidance and help find your shape and size.
